The desktop app wraps the same product in a hardened shell: secrets in the OS keychain (Windows DPAPI, macOS Keychain, libsecret), native approval dialogs, a serverless IPC transport with no open port, and a secure mode that blocks command execution entirely until a sandbox runner is configured.

What installation does

  1. Download Wanju-Setup-0.4.0.exe from the public GitHub release linked above.
  2. In Windows, confirm the verified publisher is Hyemin Doo. The installer lets you choose its location and creates Start menu and desktop shortcuts.
  3. Launch Wanju. Project data stays on this computer, and API keys use Windows DPAPI encryption.
  4. Updates download in the background and install when you restart Wanju. You can also check manually in Settings → General.

The installer is signed by Hyemin Doo. Windows can still show a reputation notice for a newer publisher; verify that publisher before continuing. The installer is exactly what's published on GitHub Releases.

Windows installers are published with each release. After installing, Wanju opens in its own window and uses private Electron IPC; it does not expose a local web port. The web scan remains available from Start on the web without installing.
